Dual Enrollment Courses

Lipscomb University offers dual enrollment courses for high school juniors and seniors via two paths. Lipscomb University partners with area high school to offer approved courses for both high school and college credit. Students may also enroll in specific dual enrollment courses offered on Lipscomb's campus. Lipscomb University offers dual enrollment students discounted tuuition rates.

Partner High Schools Offering Dual Enrollment Courses in Fall/Spring Semesters

Dual Enrollment Courses at Partner High Schools (Fall/Spring Semesters)
Students enrolled in dual enrollment courses at a partner high school for which the student receives university credit will pay a fee of $100 per hour for each course in which they are enrolled.

Dual Enrollment Courses on Lipscomb University's Campus and Online (Fall/Spring/Summer Semesters)
Students enrolled in dual enrollment courses offered either online or on Lipscomb University's campus for which the student receives university credit will pay a fee of $270 per hour for each course in which they are enrolled.

 Spring 2010 Dual Enrollment Courses

Registration Dates for Dual Enrollment Courses

Spring 2010: January 4-8, 2010
Students can register for one Dual Enrollment course in Spring 2010.

Summer 2010: May 17, 2010 until courses begin
Students can register for one Dual Enrollment course per summer term not to exceed a total of two Dual Enrollment courses in the summer.

Prerequisite Requirements
Students must meet all prerequisite requirements for courses before registration. Students must earn grades of “C” or higher in dual enrollment courses to continue additional semesters in that subject area in the dual enrollment program. For example, a student must earn a minimum grade of “C” in Freshman Composition I to enroll in Freshman Composition II and a “C” in Freshman Composition II to enroll in a Survey of Literature course.

Lipscomb University Dual Enrollment Application Fee
Dual enrollment students will also pay a $25 application fee. This application is valid for one year and can be used to enroll in courses during this one year period. A new application form is required every 12 months as student information may change during this time.
